Genuine home from home care, no kennels, no separate dog lounges or dog bedrooms - guest dogs, both overnight boarders and day care, share our home as if it were their home and are never left alone. Our overnight boarders sleep where ever they are happiest - in our living room and kitchen, or in my bedroom.

Our Home
Bramley Cottage is a cosy country cottage with a wood burning stove, comfy sofas and lots of dog beds. Our guests enjoy genuine home from home care, never being shut into separate dog lounges, or separate dog bedrooms. Your dog will live in our home as if they were our dog. If your dog sleeps in your room at home, then they can sleep in my room here.
Many dog owners worry about leaving their dog, who may be used to spending 24hrs a day in their company, in a kennels or doggy hotel, or with a pet sitter or a home boarder who has other work commitments requiring them to leave your dog alone for periods of the day. I have no other work commitments so our doggy guests spend all day with me. If I do need to go out guests are left with the company of my partner David, or mum, Pat.
At night sleeping arrangements are as similar to each dogs home as possible, be that downstairs, or as is most often the case with our guests, in my room, and sometimes on my bed.
Weather permitting our doors are always open giving free access to our large, secure gardens. Little dogs can explore among the flowers, play with their toys, run round with their new friends and play games like treats treasure hunt.

At the end of our garden we have 3.5 acres of securely fenced fields for the exclusive use of our guests. Little dogs have a safe space to run free as fast as they can, follow scents left by wildlife, chase balls, explore agility obstacles, and play with their new friends. All within the safety of our boundary, and without the worry of encountering unknown or unfriendly dogs.

Guests are entertained throughout the day with fun enrichment activities. These include treats treasure hunt in the gardens, puzzle feeders, snuffle mats, licky mats, treats hidden in boxes of paper, playing with a variety of toys, having a go at agility, and exploring our gardens and fields.
Enrichment Activities
Ralphy went to stay at Bramley Cottage for 11 nights and it was his first stay anywhere, he had a fantastic time and settled straight in thankyou for taking such great care of him Julie and treating him as your own he has loved every minute of his time with you and it’s such a relief knowing that that you can leave your fur baby in such great hands whilst away. I would 100% recommend Bramley Cottage services I wouldn’t use anyone else… Ralphy says see you soon xx.

My Cavapoo Wilson is a very anxious little boy, when we drop him off with Julie he does whimper a little (he whimpers wherever he goes!! ) but Julie is so caring and soon settles Wilson for me , at Bramley Cottage it's like home from home for Wilson, he gets to sleep on Julie's bed and he has the run of the house , Julie hand feeds him on occasions and encourages him as he's not got a good appetite, Wilson gets to run around the big gardens/fields throughout the day.

Nuggett is 13.5, mostly blind and very deaf and we were concerned about leaving him whilst we went on holiday. We need not have worried! Julie & David were fantastic with him. Lots of cuddles and love and sent us lots of photos/videos.
He looked very happy when we collected him at the end of our holiday and not desperate to leave! We have him booked in for Easter now.
We love sending Harry to Bramley, we know he is cared for and loved like he was at home. He has loads of space to exercise where he is safe and a good way for him to socialise with other dogs. He is always happy when he arrives at Bramley for his stay & he comes home, happy & healthy. In my opinion it’s like a doggy version of a spa break, lots of exercise, loving, caring and lots of fuss given. We can highly recommend Bramley for your furr babies .
Our 3 cavaliers absolutely love staying with Julie. We are always so worried leaving them anywhere but we know that they are spoilt rotten and don't want to come home. We wouldn't leave our fur babies anywhere else

Our Ernie has been to stay at Bramley Cottage for 2 weeks and he’s had a great time! Julie has taken amazing care of him and we feel he’s had a little holiday whilst we’ve enjoyed ours. It was great to see the photos and videos Julie posted of Ernie during his stay as we could see he was in great hands, having a lovely time.
He has returned home happy and healthy and we would definitely book him in for another stay again.

Our little cockapoo, Dotty, had a fantastic sleepover at Bramley Cottage Dog Boarding with her best friend, Rocket. They had a great time hunting for treats, having lovely walks and playing fetch. Julie was brilliant and kept us updated on how they were settling in. We also got to meet the gorgeous Penny.
